Entry Qualifications

Passed the GCE (A/L) Examination in three (3) subjects in one sitting
OR
Passed the GCE (A/L) Examination in two (2) subjects in one sitting and accredited with Two (02) years or more of work experience
OR
Completion of NVQ Level 4 (advanced certificate) course from a recognized institution

Special Note for A/L Students: Students expecting GCE (A/L) Results this year are eligible to apply. After the results are released, the result sheet should be provided to the coordinator. If the result satisfies the above qualifications, the candidate can continue the diploma course. If not, the candidate can complete the course as a certificate course.

How to Apply

The attached application form should be completed accordingly and sent to the Course Coordinator, Diploma in Psychology, Department of Philosophy and Psychology, University of Sri Jayewardenepura via registered post or can be handed over to the Department of Philosophy and Psychology.

The medium should be indicated on the corner of the envelope. Also indicate “Diploma in Psychology 2026/2027” on the top left-hand corner of the envelope.

Applications received after the due date will not be considered for any reason.
